Call for papers 2018
October 9th, 2017
We’re happy to announce that the call for papers for Appdevcon 2018 is now open! Appdevcon is a two-day conference on app development; to be held on the 15th and 16th of March in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. This edition will be the 7th year we (Egeniq) organise Appdevcon (the first 5 years it was called Mdevcon).
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for people that have interesting knowledge to share or want to talk about their experience with app technology. Because there are so many interesting topics related to apps, we are looking for a wide variety of topics. This year we’re adding ‘design’ as a topic, since we’ve seen growing interest in not just developer-focused talks but also talks that are relevant to app designers.
We’re covering apps in the broadest sense: phone apps, tablet apps, wearables, internet of things, smart tv apps and virtual or augmented reality.
Main conference day sessions are 45 minutes. In 2018 we are also adding 20 minute ‘lightning sessions’. We also accept proposals for half or full day hands on workshops for out tutorial day.
Submitting a talk
To submit a talk fill out our CfP form!
Since we’re a app developers conference, the target audience for the conference is app developers, developers getting started with app development, senior developers, app designers, testers, technical team leaders, architects and IT professionals interested in app development.
The call for papers closes on December 15, 2017!
We will pay for travel and hotel for accepted international speakers. Companies that are willing to sponsor the travel and lodging costs for their employees will be listed as bronze sponsors, as they allow us to increase the number of international speakers at the event. Naturally, speakers have free access to the full conference. We are also organising a speakers dinner to thank all speakers.
