An Introduction to mindfulness: coping with stress in daily life – Part 1

An Introduction to mindfulness Being an App developer, a lot of pressure can be felt. Perhaps you experience stress from deadlines or long working hours when you deal with an app launch in the App Store or a new feature release. Or maybe you find yourself experience heavy workload when having to deal with taking over someone else’s work or being the only one to solve a urgent problem.

During a time where many people face change and uncertainty everyday, it has become even more important to stay focused and stress-free. Mindfulness helps us do deal with and to increase stress in our daily life and to enjoy life as it unfolds.

Workshop Part I
Capturing the moment, learn how to keep your mind in the moment.
To be mindful is to be fully aware of the present experience. It is all about awareness and living in the present moment. By practicing mindfulness, you will learn to make conscious choices instead of responding on autopilot. In a way that is more appropriate to the situation and better for your health and well-being.

During the workshop we will practice exercises with attention, give education and you learn to be more aware in the here and now. We do various exercises and meditations such as the body scan. As a result, you will enjoy more pleasant experiences and you will learn to deal better with indicating your boundaries, difficulties and acceptance.

Why Mindfulness increases your quality of life?
Numerous studies have shown that mindfulness increases quality of life and that it brings a positive change in our cognitive and neurobiological functioning. Mindfulness also transforms the way in which we view ourselves and the world, and how we respond to our surroundings.

Is this workshop something for Developers?
