An Introduction to mindfulness: coping with stress in daily life – Part 2

An Introduction to mindfulness Being an App developer, a lot of pressure can be felt. Perhaps you experience stress from deadlines or long working hours when you deal with an app launch in the App Store or a new feature release. Or maybe you find yourself experience heavy workload when having to deal with taking over someone else’s work or being the only one to solve a urgent problem.

During a time where many people face change and uncertainty everyday, it has become even more important to stay focused and stress-free. Mindfulness helps us do deal with and to increase stress in our daily life and to enjoy life as it unfolds.

Workshop Part II
Stress and your automatic pilot, learn how stress works and its effects on our daily life.
In this workshop we take a closer look at stress. We will notice its benefits as well as its pitfalls. You will investigate your own situation, how it is provoked and in what ways it manifests. We will discuss good practices that can help you to find more relaxation.

Practicing mindfulness is an effective way to control stress and improve the quality of your life. We learn to become aware of the mind’s tendency to wander between worrying about the past and the future. And we discover that there is an alternative, a space of conscious choice.

Why Mindfulness increases your quality of life?
Numerous studies have shown that mindfulness increases quality of life and that it brings a positive change in our cognitive and neurobiological functioning. Mindfulness also transforms the way in which we view ourselves and the world, and how we respond to our surroundings.

Is this workshop something for Developers?
Yes, Mindfulness is suited for all experts who are ready to invest in improving the quality of their work and life balance, who want less “panic-moments” in their life, who aspire to live and experience life more intensely, who want to enjoy more and who are willing to take a different stance in relationship to their thoughts and behavioural patterns.
