Starting Fresh: The Paradox of Choice

There’s nothing more exciting than starting on a new project. But sometimes, there’s nothing scarier. You’re starting out with a clean slate, so now is your chance to do everything right. Perfect, even. But what does that even mean? What architecture should you use? Storyboards or XIBs? What frameworks should I use and how many is too many? One project or multiple modules? What is the right amount of unit tests? The sheer number of options can be paralyzing!

It doesn’t matter if you’re a brand new developer or someone who has been working in the industry for years. If you haven’t started a project from scratch recently, doing so can be quite daunting. And might even keep you from starting on that passion project you’ve been dreaming up.

In this talk, we’re going to walk through the pros and cons of some of the different options. And more importantly, we’re going to talk about how to make decisions now that you can feel confident about later. After this talk, you’ll never let that empty project intimidate you again!
