Kamyar leads the Messaging Platform & Algorithms team at Netflix, which builds and innovates on how Netflix communicates with its 130M+ subscribers across email, push notifications, in-app alerts, etc to provide them the most relevant, engaging, and personalized messages. Previously, Kamyar headed up the Developer Platform team at Lyft (the fastest growing ride-sharing company in the US since 2017) where his team was responsible for the APIs used by external partners (e.g. Google, healthcare mobility companies) to provide safe and reliable transportation solutions. Prior to that, he spent 4 years at LinkedIn managing the Partner Engineering team which supported external partners using LinkedIn’s APIs to build solutions around the theme of economic opportunity. Kamyar spent most of his life growing up in Hawaii and Colorado, USA and holds a B.Sc degree in Mathematical and Computer Science from the Colorado School of Mines.
