Passkeys + Android: a full stack workshop

Everybody knows that passwords are terrible and that passkeys are the solution. They are completely phishing-proof, can’t be guessed, and aren’t reliant on third party auth providers.

But I’ve been surprised at just how *difficult* it was integrating passkeys on Android.

Not because the Android front-end is difficult (Jetpack Credential Manager does a lot of the heavy lifting). Not because the back-end is difficult. But because so much of the documentation misses out how to get the two ends to talk to each other.

So let’s get stuck in to building a full-stack passkey implementation together!
